Taste Time: 29th Annual Taste of Morristown returning April 9

B

For the 29th time, the Annual Girls Inc. Taste of Morristown event is ready to take Morristown by storm.

The “Taste of Morristown” is one of the Lakeway Area’s favorite traditions. Local restaurants and individuals alike compete for bragging rights to serve up their best culinary creations.

The residents of Morristown and the Lakeway Area are the big winners in this contest, which in turn helps Girls Inc. and its programs.

This is a delicious night out that directly supports Girls Inc. of Hamblen County and helps fund their 8 week Summer Program for more than 150 girls.

This year’s event will be held Thursday, April 9 in the “Z” Buda Gymnasium on the Morristown Campus of Walters State Community College from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person. For $25, one may enjoy special delivery option with no waiting in line.

Tickets are available at https://givebutter.com/2026taste, at the Girls Inc. location on Sulphur Springs Road, or through Girls Inc’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Community participation makes a big impact for Girls Inc’s summer programming.

Girls Inc. of Hamblen County’s Summer Program has the greatest impact, with the center open 10 hours a day to provide girls with learning opportunities, life skills development, fun activities, field trips, and memories that last a lifetime. This year’s field trips include a movie day at AMC Theatre in Morristown, the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, and the Jefferson City Pool, among others.

Each week of Summer Program features a special theme, guiding both learning and recreation. This year’s themes include Beach Bash & Luau Splash, Into the Wild, Journey Across the Ocean, Relax & Recharge, Heroes in Our Community, Party in the USA, To Infinity & Beyond, and Happily Ever After. Every day brings something new, exciting, and enriching for our girls!

“We hope to see you at this year’s Taste of Morristown, and we appreciate your support in helping Girls Inc. continue serving girls in our community,” Girls Inc. Executive Director Amy Register said.
