Parks and Recreation seeking input on city’s 10-year Master Plan for parks

F

When making a plan for local parks, the City takes a long-term approach by creating a master plan to forecast projects for city parks within the next 10 years.

When drafting this plan, city staff wants to keep the public informed and involved, creating opportunities for citizens to share their needs and desires for recreation in the community.

The city of Morristown Parks and Recreation is hosting a Master Plan Public Meeting on Thursday, April 2nd at Talley Ward Recreation Center.

The city’s contracted design firm, Pape Dawson, will be on site to give a presentation, facilitate discussion, and offer surveys to chart a course for what’s next for city parks.

The public is invited to attend this open house event from 5:30 p.m -8 p.m. in the Club Room at Talley Ward.
