Interval to perform at Rose Center Friday
Interval will take the stage this Friday night, March 20, at 7 p.m., in Perk Prater Hall at the Rose Center for the Arts, located at 442 West Second North Street in Morristown.
The concert is free to the public in celebration of Rose Center’s 50th Jubilee.
Interval was formed in 2022 by the members of the Sequatchie River Band to develop their indie/alt-rock side and highlight original compositions. They rehearse and record out of their home studio, Vibe HQ, located in a remote off-grid mountainside homestead in the Sequatchie Valley of Southeast Tennessee. Their influences include blues, progressive rock, electronica, and indie pop. Interval placed second in the “Road to Nightfall Competition” in Chattanooga.
Sequatchie River Band first performed in Morristown at the Mountain Makins Festival, and has returned several years.
“They’ve been a crowd favorite every year,” said Beccy Hamm, Rose Center’s Executive Director. “We’re excited to bring them to the stage with their ‘alter ego’ band.”
SRB and Interval have performed at the Downtown Green as part of the First Friday concert series, and also at 1907 Brewing Co.
This family band from rural Sequatchie Valley, outside of Chattanooga, consists of: Isaac Lloyd- vocals and guitar; Gideon Lloyd- vocals, guitar and electric cello; Taylor Lloyd- vocals and keys, Ezra Lloyd- bass, and Emmanuel Merryfield- drums.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and guests may bring their own beverages and snacks to the event. This concert is made possible in part by a grant from the East Tennessee Foundation.
