Hawkins Rescue Squad Unit undergoes upgrades

The Hawkins County Rescue Squad’s Rescue 6 Unit, a 1999 Ford F-150 pickup truck serving the Clinch-Eidson communities, recently had some needed upgrades done.

Rescue 6 received updated LED Emergency Lights, Scene Lighting, an additional Siren Speaker, a Low-Frequency Siren, Power Inverter and Plugs, and a new Console from Plastix Plus LLC. All the emergency equipment was done in-house by Capt. Corey Young.

Rescue 6 also had the logos on the doors replaced, side topper windows covered, and the rear graphics redone to match HCRS’ other fleet. The graphics were designed and installed by Provision Graphics.

Rescue 6 is stationed in the Clinch/Eidson community and equipped with tools and equipment to handle medical-related calls, motor vehicle crashes, water-related calls, and so much more. Rescue 6 is also the next crash truck in line to have the hydraulic rescue tools upgraded to battery operated hydraulic tools. These tools are awaiting grant acceptance.
