Hamblen BOE honors State Beta Club Winners

An overflow crowd consisting mostly of parents and family members came to Tuesday’s Hamblen County Board of Education meeting in the Heritage Room of the Hugh Clement Central Office Complex to honor students from the county’s four middle schools on their participation in the Tennessee State Beta Club Convention.

East Ridge Middle School students recognized were Amarii Fulton and Peyton Alder, for Premier Performers; Chloe Wilder and Emmalyn Hopkins for Third-Place Scrapbook; Eliza Brooks for Third-Place Fiber Arts; Issac Drinnon for Third-Place Eighth-Grade Math; Noah Hale for Second Place in Eighth-Grade Social Studies; Avery Denim for Second-Place Jewelry; and Ashlynn Ray, Naiomi Mountain and Sarah Mantooth for First-Place Digital Porfolio.

Lincoln Heights Middle awardees included Allison Harvey, Nataly Hernandez Mazariegos, Lyla Carey, Kamari Isom and Archer Ross for Second-Place Marketing and Communications; and Taitum Perkey for First-Place Digitally Enhanced Photography.

Meadow View Middle School club members recognized were Jimena Huerta Pacheco, Autumn Collins and A’Zaria Mills for Fifth-Place Scrapbook; Kylie Baird, Autumn Collins, Damian Contreras, Jennifer Duarte, Gracie Givens, Emma Hackney, Jimena Huerta Pacheco, Naudia Huertas, Geray Lopez Vasquez, A’Zaria Mills, Ryleigh Proffett, Mackenna Rigney, Alex Shuff, Ashley Velasco, Tucker Wendt and Jesse Villa for Fourth-Place Performing Arts Large Group; and Mackenna Rigney for Second-Place Performing Arts Solo Duo Trio Dancers.

West View Middle School awardees included Emily Wilson for Third-Place Speech; Carlie Gong for Third-Place Hand-Drawn Anime; Brooklyn Collins, Briley Finchum, Jaxton Ealy, Isiah Aten and Jake Davis for Third-Place Digital Portfolio; Callie Greene for Second-Place Drawing.

First-Place Winners included Jaxton Ealy, Isaiah Aten, Briley Finchum, Jake David, Norah Hall, Isabella Young, Bennett Frazier and Nora Atkins for First-Place Technology; Layla Perry, Paisley Brooks, Abrienne Jarnigan, Caroline Daniels, Macy Collins, Hillarie Chafin, Nichole Barile and Caroline Bradley for First-Place Scrapbook; and Isaiah Aten, Jaxton Ealy, Caleb Shepard, Kipton Smith and Kannon Lester, for First-Place Engineering.

The SCOPE Attendees were also recognized. East High Representatives included Gavin Driver and Laila Carter. West High Representatives were Jackson-Allen Shaver and Artica Eyler. Sponsors are Traci Jefferson and Branson Harp.
