Gubernatorial candidate Rose visits Lakeway Area

Friday, U.S. Congressman John Rose, TN-6, R, returned to East Tennessee to visit with voters as part of his statewide campaign to become the next Governor of Tennessee.

Congressman Rose participated in the Cocke County Partnership Legislative Breakfast, Greene County Partnership Legislative Luncheon, and also visited the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce for a Meet and Greet event.

“As I travel across Tennessee, I’m hearing from Tennesseans who want a Governor with the experience and energy to lead,” Rose said. “Voters want someone who will listen and deliver results. From Cocke County, Greene County, Sullivan County, Hawkins County–the message is the same. Tennesseans care deeply about the future of our local communities, farms, small businesses, and schools. I’m grateful for the opportunity to hear directly from the people who make this state so strong.”

The visit comes ahead of a planned trip to Morristown by Rose Saturday, March 28 at Southeast Industrial Construction’s headquarters in Morristown at 4980 W. Andrew Johnson Highway. Voters are invited to hear Rose speak and meet the candidate.

Rose’s campaign has emphasized three things they say Tennesseans have said they want from the next Governor of Tennessee: someone who will listen, someone who will lead with Tennessee’s conservative values and someone who will protect what makes Tennessee special.

Rose is leaning into his deep roots in the state, which stretch back to 1790 when his ancestors settled the land where the Congressman and his family still live and farm today.

Rose leads in campaign funding with support from every county, and earlier this week, he submitted his petition for the ballot with more than 1,000 signatures from all 95 counties, as well.

Continuing to cross the state and campaign, will be back in the region soon after the Morristown event at the East Tennessee Republican Party in Johnson City on April 13.

Soon after, Rose will be participating in a sheriff roundtable and his campaign said Hamblen County Sheriff Chad Mullins will be invited.
