New Market man arrested in Dandridge traffic stop
A traffic stop in Dandridge led to a drug bust and charges for a New Market man Saturday night.
According to information provided by the Dandridge Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop on a GMC 2500HD for a traffic violation on State Route 92. After making contact with the driver, the officer observed indicators that led him to extend the stop beyond the initial violation and further investigate the situation.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, who was not identified by police, was found to be in possession of 108.7 grams of marijuana.
As a result of this incident, a New Market man now faces several charges.
Sgt. Fair was assisted on scene by Det. Lodwick and Officer Watson. Their teamwork and professionalism helped ensure the situation was handled safely and effectively.
