Emory Bedford Greene

Emory Bedford Greene went to rest in paradise February 2, 2026 at his home. He was born January 2, 1944 and was saved at War Creek Baptist Church during a revival when he was 11 years old. He later joined Trent Valley Baptist Church, where he remained a member. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow & Sally Greene; sister, Wanda Mullins; brother, G.B. Greene; sister-in-law, Glenda Greene and brother-in-law, George Seal. Mr. Emory was a devoted employee of TDOT for 42 years, a masonic member for over 50 years and a long time member of the Hancock County Rescue Squad.

He is survived by his

Wife of 62 years; Carolyn Greene

Sons; Scott Greene and Shannon (Shirley) Greene

Sister; Opal Seal

Brother; Ed (Lois) Greene

Grandchildren; Allison (Jacob) Davidson and Jonah Greene and great-grandchild; Branch Davidson, who were the joys of his life

A host of nieces and nephews. Service arrangements will be dependent on the current weather situation at the time.

The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Trent Valley Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 7 P.M. Rev. Matt Hunter & Rev. Rex Cole officiating. Special music will be provided by Harold & Dustin Johnson and Hannah Hunter & Scarlette Walker.

Interment will be held at 11 A.M. on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at the Greene Cemetery.
