TN Food on Foot was the recipient of a grant from The Arby’s Foundation in the amount of $20,000, an amount that funded its annual summer feeding program.
Food on Foot provided food bags for children and adults on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. throughout the summer of 2023.
The Arby’s Foundation has donated $104,000 in 2023 to support various communities around the greater Knoxville area, including Hamblen County.
“We are so grateful to have been the recipient of this grant,” Carolyn Jarnagin, Food on Foot founder/president said. “School children are in need of food assistance throughout the year, not just when classes are in session. Because of The Arby’s Foundation, our summer feeding program was a success.”
With the grant funds, the Arby’s team was able to provide 2,500 summer food bags to children in need in the community.
In total, The Arby’s Foundation anticipates giving out nearly 200 local grants across the United States.
TN Food on Foot Foundation was founded as a Christian-based nonprofit organization in April 2007. For more information, visit the organization’s website or Facebook page.
