A New Tazewell man is facing multiple felony charges following an investigation by the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department.

Roger Dale Coffey, 51, has been charged with various felony crimes resulting from the investigation of illegal narcotics sales in Claiborne County.

On August 30th, detectives with the Narcotics Division along with the Claiborne County SRT Team and the Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Lone Mountain Rd. in Claiborne County.

Upon execution of the search warrant Detectives recovered approximately 2.5 ounces of Methamphetamine, half of an ounce of suspected Cocaine, over an ounce of Heroin believed to be laced with Fentanyl, and paraphernalia believed to be used to repackage narcotics.

Detectives also seized a small amount in United States Currency believed to be from the profits of the illegal sale or narcotics along with a .22 caliber revolver with the serial number removed.

The approximate street value of the seized narcotics is $7,000.
