Charlotte Katherine DeGroot Boatman, 80, passed away on August 21, 2023.

She is survived by her daughter, Ida Mae Boatman; sons, Mike Gallaher, Scott (Tammy) Gallaher; grandchildren, Mykela Gallaher, Cheyenne Gallaher, Andrew Gallaher, and Tyler Gallaher; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Amari, Adrian, Aaliyah, Soren, and Dominic.

She is also survived by her siblings, Claude Edward DeGroot, Charlie DeGroot, and Lynda Ottinger Cole; sisters-in-law, Shirley Dotson and Ann Owens-Good; brother-in-law, Billy Boatman; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank UT Hospice, especially Britanny and Kristi. The family would also like to thank the nurses at Life Care Center of Morristown. A special thanks is given out to in-home caregivers Darla, Kay, and Diane.

Charlotte is also survived by her “baby” Linus. He was rescued from the Grainger County Humane Society.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Grainger County Humane Society in honor of the unforgettable bond Charlotte had with Linus.

Family will receive friends at Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Pike Chapel on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 11:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. Service will begin at 1:00 p.m.
