West boys golf continue to win, defeats IMAC schools

It was another solid Monday afternoon for the Morristown West boys golf team on Monday at Patriot Hills.

Taking on Morristown East, Jefferson County and Sevier County, the Trojans used solid outings by Greyson Smith and Todd Greene to take home the victory. As a team, West shot 149. Jefferson County was second with a 158 while East was third at 172. Sevier County finished in fourth with a 193.

On the girls side, Jefferson County took home the win with a 90 while East finished in second with a 95. Sevier County finished with a 100, while West only had one golfer.

For the West boys, Smith led the way with a 34 while Greene shot a 35. Luke Lindsey finished with a 39, while Jace Collake shot a 41. Brance Matthews shot a 47.

For Jeff boys, Brody Jones shot a 36, Cole Osborne and Lucas Havely shot 40’s, Dylan Edmonds and Coleman Sanders shot 42’s and Micah Hurdle shot a 44.

East had the low score of the day on the boys side as Hunter Worth shot a 33. Trevyn Beam was next for the ‘Canes with a 44 while Parker Dale shot a 47. Rounding out East was Parker Spoone with a 48, Blake Johns with a 49 and Clint Hemminger with a 51.

On the girls side, Jefferson County was led by Emily Royston shot a 44 while Emma Simpson shot a 46. Sarah Howard shot a 48.

For East, Sydney Courtney was the low score with a 39 while McKinley Hamilton shot a 56. On the West side, Sophie Davis shot a 64.
