Tony Walker, age 78, of Bybee, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023.

He was a member and deacon of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gomer and Ruby Padgett Holt, Roy and Ellie Sneed Walker; father, Clyde Walker, mother Maxine Ledford; father-in-law, J. C. Holdway; special niece Amy Helton.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Holdway Walker, of Bybee, son Kevin Walker, of Bybee; special great-nephew who he loved like a son Sandon Williams, of Bybee; mother-in-law, Ilene Holdway of Newport; brother-in-law, Joe (Pat) Holdway of Newport; sister-in-law, Sue (Harvey) Holt of Bybee, several special nieces, nephews and his cherished church family.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm – 7 pm, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Manes Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 1 pm, Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Rick Dalton and Rev. Robert Green officiating.

The body will lie in state from 12 noon – 1 pm Wednesday, at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.

Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
