Edith M. Dalton, age 94, of Morristown, passed away peacefully on Friday August 11th, 2023.

She will be dearly missed by her family who loved her so much. She was our “Edie.” Spending time with her family and grandchildren was her joy.

She loved outside, flowers, animals and especially Angel our dog. Edith and Knox owned and operated Greenhill Market in Dandridge and farmed in Morristown for many years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Knox Dalton; parents, Gale and Bonnie Walker; and in-laws, Zoe and Nezzie Dalton.

She is survived by her loving family, Wendell & Tammy Dalton, Adam & Kara Dalton, Melanie and Wesley Dotson; great-granddaughters, Emory Grace and Ella Rose Dotson, all of Morristown; and special cousins, Wayne & Bennie Mills and Zane Mills; and many others.

Special thank you to the staff of UT Hospice, Jaime, Hannah, Crystal and Chaplain Tyler Dalton, and Life Care of Morristown, Misty, Heather, Brenda, Melody, Cathy, and Larry, and so many others. Your loving care and kindness was a blessing and heart touching to Edith and us as a family during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 15th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 16th at Bethesda Cemetery for graveside services with Rev. Tim Jones officiating.
