The Crockett Tavern Museum in Morristown will host a birthday party for Davy Crockett on Saturday, and it’s not just any ‘ole party. It’s Davy’s 237th birthday.

The celebration will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the museum located at 2002 Morningside Drive.

Free museum tours will be offered to attendees. Live musical entertainment will be provided by Mitchell Bradley. There will be blacksmithing demonstrations on site, along with a number of reenactors.

Special guest will be local historian Jim Claborn who will portray Davy Crockett.

Activities will be available for children and refreshments will be available for children and adults.

The event is offered to the community at no charge.
