Pamela H. Johns, age 64 of Talbott, received her heavenly wings on Sunday, July 30th, at UT Medical Center.

Pam was preceded in death by her mother and father, Bill and Willine Hyder; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Claude and Lou Johns.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Rick Johns; daughters, Shelly (Beau) Austin and Brittany (Jon) Saylor; grandchildren Drew and Adley Austin; sister, Teresa (Don) Smith; brother-in-law, Mike (Valerie) Johns; and beloved nieces and nephew.

To know Pam was to love Pam. Her life was full of light and love.

With her spiritual gift of mercy, she had a bleeding heart for helping those who were hurting.

She served her community as a nurse for 43 years and spent most of her nursing career in leadership.

Pam cherished the deep connections and life-long friendships she made throughout her career and life. Her family, especially her grandchildren were the delight of her life.

The family would like to thank the MCCU team at UT Medical Center for providing excellent and compassionate care to our precious Pam.

Chaplain Joe Hamlet will officiate a funeral service at 7PM Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Mayes Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM prior to the service.

Burial will take place at 11AM Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
