Debra Kaye Lampkin Salansky
Debra Kaye Lampkin Salansky passed away Sunday July 23, 2023.
Debbie worked at the Johnson City Medical Center for many years before retiring at Fort Sanders as an RN.
Her care and compassion didn’t stop there. She was a dedicated and loving friend and family member to all that who knew her.
Always recognizing others struggles and willing to help any way she could.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her two daughters and grandsons whom she cherished and loved endlessly.
She is survived by her husband Jeff Salansky, two daughters Heather Johnson and Kimberly Johnson of Knoxville. Parents Deanie (Phyllis) Lampkin of Bybee, Mother, Judy Gripme of Maui, Hawaii. Grandchildren; Jaevon Gillespie; Andrew Johnson Gann and Jakobi Gillespie. Two brothers; Robert (Judy)Lampkin, Chris Lampkin, sister Leigh Ann Nakata. Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Stephanie Kaye Johnson. Grandparents, Elmer (Dorothy) Lampkin and Lottie Shipley. She was also preceded in death by her faithful fur companion Sam of 18 years.
Family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday July 26, 2023, at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown.
The funeral service will follow at 7pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.
The graveside service will be Thursday at 11am in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery Thursday for the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Jaevon Gillespie, Jakobi Gillespie, Kenny Noah, Chris Lampkin, Triston Lampkin, and Caleb Boyd.
