The Greene County Grand Jury handed down indictments on David A. Dabbs, 32 of Lonesome Pine Trail, Greeneville, in relation to the death of Danielle Owens, of Greeneville.

Dabbs is charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide, Aggravated Statutory Rape, Aggravated Assault, False Reporting, and Contributing to the Unruly Conduct of a Child.

Dabbs’s court date is pending at this time.

The body of the 16-year-old Owens was found Feb. 7 in a cornfield off the 300 block of Doughtys Chapel Road.

She had been reported missing in December of 2022.
