McNabb Center to hold 5th annual Christmas in July

The McNabb Center’s 5th annual Christmas in July Toy Drive kicks off July 1.

The McNabb Center is the region’s leading nonprofit provider of mental health, substance use, social and victim services. By focusing on an individual’s “Well Mind, Well Being,” we provide a quality and compassionate approach to care from infancy through adulthood. Since 1948, the Center has proudly served individuals with the most needs and fewest resources. Today, the McNabb Center delivers support to more than 43,000 people throughout East Tennessee each year.

The event benefits the Dear Santa program and enables the community to donate to children and families who may be struggling this holiday season. Last year, more than 500 child clients of the McNabb Center and their siblings received gifts that were donated through toy drives as part of Christmas in July and Dear Santa.

“The Christmas in July Toy Drive helps kick off the spirit of holiday giving, without the hectic holiday season,” said Amy Cattran, community relations coordinator for the McNabb Center. “Donations from the toy drive help us fulfill the holiday wishes for children and families who have an unexpected need during the holidays. This would not be possible without the support of the community.”

The McNabb Center is partnering with ORNL Federal Credit Union, Y-12 Federal Credit Union, Enrichment Federal Credit Union and Knoxville Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union, all of whom will host toy collection bins in their branches throughout the region from July 1-15.
