The Canteen & Cottage Catering has not been in operation long at 1469 Rugby Parkway, however it has already found a devoted following.

Located in the heart of Historic Rugby, the truck has earned Facebook comments that include “Everyone I know has a different favorite dish, which I think is a very good sign! You really can’t go wrong with anything you order here.”

At The Canteen, visitors have found inventive gourmet sandwiches with high quality ingredients, yummy pork tacos, a scrumptious Thai Shrimp Salad, and a famous Shrimp & Grits entree, as well as a ham or bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich for those craving a morning treat.

Customers can enjoy their meal at one of the picnic tables outside or take it with them on the road, to their place of lodging, or on a nearby hike.

Hours are currently Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
