Senior Center seeking Yard Sale donations

The Morristown Senior Center is continuing to accept donations from the community for its Yard Sale to be held Saturday, June 10.

Items can be dropped off at the Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The Yard Sale will feature a variety of household and decorative items. A hot dog plate will be available for purchase. Volunteers at the Center will also host a bake sale, featuring homemade items.

The sale is a fundraiser that directly benefits the programs offered at the Center.

Concord Baptist Church Celebrates 200 Years

Concord Baptist Church will be having their 200-Year Celebration on June 11th, at 10:45 a.m.

The church is located at 436 Concord Road, Mohawk, Tennessee.

Come out and join for BBQ, music, and fellowship. Bring a chair and your appetite to help celebrate 200 years.

In conjunction with the celebration, the church will also be celebrating Decoration Sunday.

Since 1823, Concord Baptist Church has been helping to spread God’s good news throughout the community and throughout the world.

No matter the background, everyone is welcome to join the Sunday service; bible study is at 9:45 a.m. and worship service is held at 10:45 a.m. every Sunday.

Carpenter reunion planned

Carpenter Family Reunion will be held on Saturday, June 10 at Cherokee Park in Morristown.

The family will gather for a meal at Noon at the Horner-Dougherty Pavilion. The gates to the park open at 10 a.m.

Those who plan to attend are requested to take a covered dish and soft drinks to share.

Bowlin plans Tennis Clinic

The Kids Clinic – a division of the Summer Tennis Camps offered by Coach Bowlin – will be offered in two upcoming sessions.

June 5-8 and July 17-20 will be open to ages 8 to 18.

The early morning session, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., will be offered to ages 8-12.

The mid-morning session, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., will be offered to ages 12-18.

The cost for each week is $50.
