Missing Hawkins boy found safe

A four-year-old boy who was reported missing from Sandy Valley Road in Rogersville was found safe.
The boy – Dalton Lee Ray Drinnon – apparently walked away from the home at about 4 p.m. Wednesday, possibly with a yellow Labrador accompanying him.
A large search and rescue effort featuring multiple agencies was launched and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations issued an endangered child alert. The boy was found safe at about 8:45 p.m. in a heavily wooded area not far from the residence.
“Hawkins County Rescue Squad would like to say ‘Thank You’ to everyone that had a part in the search early this evening for 4-year-old Dalton Drinnon,” squad officials said in a statement. “From praying to searching, your part was very much appreciated by our agency and led to a successful outcome in locating Dalton.
“Thank uou to each business, group, or individual that helped feed the members of the above agencies during this incident. It was very much appreciated.”
