Mary Alice Noe, age 99, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 19, 2023.

Mary was born and raised in her family home in Morristown, TN, which was built in 1900. She was best remembered for her kindness and her famous apple butter that everyone loved. She was known as one of the most generous people around, helping anyone in need. Mary was the oldest active member of Noe’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was involved and a dedicated church member for her entire life.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Horace, and Jennie Noe; sisters Louise Taylor, Bobbie Mefford, Billie Goforth, and Dottie Noe; brothers Clarence and Wilbur Noe, and special nephew David L. Noe. She was survived by her loving family, several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

The family received friends at Mayes Mortuary on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 4 pm-6 pm.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Noe’s Chapel United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Noe’s Church Cemetery. The family wanted to give special thanks to the Regency Retirement Unit and Smoky Mountain Hospice for all the help they provided during her illness.
