There will be an effort to clean black veteran headstones at the Rock of Ages Cemetery in Morristown on May 27 at 10 a.m.

The cemetery is home to more than 200 graves, including more than 65 graves belonging to black veterans.

Organizers are looking for volunteers to aid in the work that is expected to take two to three hours.

If they can, volunteers should bring gloves, safety glasses, plastic scrapers, small soft brushes and a bucket. However, If you don’t have these, organizers request you still attend as there will be extras.
