A man was airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center and another faces attempted first-degree murder charges following a stabbing Monday afternoon on Cherokee Drive in Morristown, according to Hamblen County Sheriff Chad Mullins.
Gabriel Brown and an unidentified woman were traveling in a vehicle on Cherokee Drive Monday having a domestic dispute.
During the dispute, the vehicle left the roadway and crashed. No one was injured.
The woman left the vehicle, ran to a neighboring house and told the resident she had been assaulted.
Brown followed and stabbed the resident in the chest.
The man was flown to the UT Medical Center and places in the critical care unit. Mullins said he does not believe the man suffered life-threatening injuries.
Brown has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, domestic assault, false imprisonment and reckless endangerment.
