Huey Magoos, the “Filet Mignon Of Chicken” – celebrated its newest franchise store with the official grand opening and ribbon cutting in Morristown.

Huey Magoo’s Morristown is the 48th restaurant opening system-wide spanning nine states, with over 225 franchises currently sold now in 12 states.

The 3,000 square foot free standing restaurant features a double drive-thru.

This is the second of 20 Huey Magoo’s restaurants, joining Kingsport, to open in the Tri-Cities and Nashville market area under franchisees Odus, Addie, Rudy and Katie Mundy, who have also been multi-unit Fazolis franchisees for 26 years. Morristown will offer dine-in/out, take-out, catering and delivery through third-party delivery services Uber Eats and DoorDash.

Huey Magoos Co- Founder, Matt Armstrong was present for the ribbon cutting and expressed his excitement to be in Morristown.

“We came from humble beginnings, so this is exciting for us. We have two locations in Tennessee and here I never thought we’d have one. Over the last 20 years I’ve been inspired through franchise owners Odus and Rudy and the teams that they bring on board making these restaurants come alive.

“It’s great to see and I’m so happy and honored by the level of franchisees and the people that they are involving in the community just like this. It’s important when you build a brand to have people who share the same visions and values that you have and it’s just good to see that we definitely have that in Odus and Rudy, we’re just really excited for Morristown to host us in east Tennessee.

CEO Andy Howard took a few minutes to show his gratitude for the hard work that has gone into the growth of the franchise and the journey of getting it to Tennessee.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled. A lot of hard work and a lot of great stories are behind all this. It took a while for people to understand when they would walk in and only see chicken tenders on the menu, they’d say, ‘what else you got?’ We’d say, ‘well that’s it’ But boy did they make an unbelievable company out of that. When we can pick great franchise partners like this group here, that makes our job so much easier.

“They’re doing sales that we’d only dreamt of in this brand many years ago, and now they’ve brought it to fruition and reality and it’s just been incredibly exciting. They are the most delicious chicken tenders on earth, if you’ve had them you’ll agree, if you haven’t had them, then after you’ve had them you’ll agree.”

Menu options include Huey Magoo’s signature grilled, hand-breaded or “sauced” premium chicken tenders, farm fresh salads, sandwiches and wraps. Each Huey Magoo’s tender is always made all natural, with no antibiotics ever, no hormones, no steroids and no preservatives.

“We’re incredibly excited to be opening our second store,” says the Mundy family. “The brand as a whole has such a high potential and ceiling. We can’t say enough good things about the brand, everything from the food to people and everything in between is amazing.

Huey Magoo’s is now open at 4374 Erica Greene Circle, Morristown, TN 37814. Hours of operation are (dine-in) 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily, (drive-thru) 11 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
