The Chesterton Academy of St. Margaret Clitherow is a joyful, classical school in the Catholic tradition, opening in the Knoxville area in Fall 2023. Our aim is to form a high school to finish our children’s education in a classical manner: the cultivation of wisdom and virtue through nourishing the body and soul with the true, good, and beautiful through the seven liberal arts. It is an education that embraces the whole person, teaching every child not only how to think, but how to pray, read, speak, draw, act…and even how to dance! It reaches body and soul, forming our children to not only be smart, but to be good.

There are currently forty-four Chesterton Academies across the country with this being the second one in Tennessee. The model of Chesterton Academy is to offer families an affordable, classical, and authentically Catholic education. Each school day begins with daily Mass.

Chesterton Academy of St. Margaret Clitherow is established as an independent high school in the Catholic tradition and governed by a board of directors.

Planning is complete for this classically integrated high school model: the school has secured its headmaster, executive director, and teachers as well as secured the funds for a Fall 2023 opening. They are now accepting student applications for all four grades!
