Ottinger and team recognized by State Farm

Kim Ottinger says without her team she wouldn’t be where she is today.

Ottinger, a State Farm agent since 2018, is the proud recipient of the Chairman Circle award.

The Chairman Circle award is highly coveted and only given to about 2% of State Farm agents.

To achieve this honor, an agency must deliver the highest level of customer service and sales across the organization. Along with the Chairman Circle Ottinger and team have earned the Honor Club Award which you earn from protecting a certain number of families, as well as the top level of the Ambassador Club Award.

Ottinger says “I literally started a whole new life at 52 years old, but I wasn’t intimidated, because I knew I could do it.”

Having been a hairdresser for 31 years, she knew taking care of people was her passion, so she went in search of a new career that would allow her to do just that. Years earlier, she had been approached by a State Farm recruiter about becoming an agent.

The timing didn’t align as her priorities were being a caretaker for her mother back then, but in 2018 Ottinger knew she was ready to take the plunge.

She proudly declares, “State Farm chose me, but after I got my license, I chose State Farm. Any company I go with has to reflect my heart and my values, and I truly feel that State Farm embodies that.”

Ottinger says she reached back out to the same recruiter and told them, “I just want to do anything with State Farm.”

Ottinger says her main goal is to help protect families by providing coverage for their home, auto, businesses, health insurance, life insurance and to give them choices for their policies to be perfect for their families.

They are active in the community and have a passion to help others. They are multi-state licensed to write for Tennessee and North Carolina.

A self-proclaimed farm girl, it’s easy to see why Ottinger and her team would be ranked among the highest in customer service, because she isn’t afraid to roll up her sleeves. Sit with her for a moment and she can tell countless stories of delivering groceries to elderly clients during covid, making house calls to homebound clients and doing their dishes, and just all around going the extra mile to arm her clients with information and ensure she gives them the best possible quotes for their needs. “I want people to know they’re safe with me. When you’re my client you’re like a part of my family” Ottinger said.

With a combined total of 50 years in the insurance industry, Ottinger gives credit to her team calling them the backbone of what she does. She says, “I always want to make sure I recognize them for their hard work.” Ottinger, along with her team, Debbie Solomon, Sales Manager, Mary Strope, Office Manager, and receptionists April Depew, and Allison Self would love to help you become a part of their State Farm family. They are available to assist you with whatever you need to begin this process, whether that be providing quotes or answering any questions you may have. You can call them at 423-581-1729 or visit their location at 4601 West Andrew Johnson Highway
