Lions’ Club Carnival to return

It’s back and it’s bigger and better.

The Lions Club Carnival will return May 12 through May 20 at Walters State Community College.

“We’re getting two Friday and Saturdays this year,” said Lions Club member Gene Honeycutt, “that’s the best days we get.”

Fellow Lions Club member Dennis Peterson said the carnival will be bigger and better with more rides, more games and more food.

The carnival will again be presented by Casey’s Rides.

Last year was a test, they said, to see how Hamblen County and the Lakeway Area would respond.

The response was massive.

Daily arm bands will be $25. Individual ride tickets will be $1, but several of the rides will require more than one ticket.

“It’s the biggest fundraiser we have in the year,” Honeycutt said.
