James Ray Milligan, age 79, of Tazewell, TN went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. James was born on March 14, 1944. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Eula Mae Milligan. James is survived by his wife of 60 wonderful years Minnie Milligan. Sons James (Anna) Milligan, Michael (Audrey) Milligan, and Brian Milligan. Brother Clifford (Irene) Milligan. Sisters Opal (the late Clifford) Middleton and Helen (the late Danny) Bostic; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. James was saved at a young age and loved the Lord his entire life. He was a charter member and Deacon of Clinch Valley American Christian Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. James was someone who loved everyone he met and was loved by them in return. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5pm – 7pm at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7pm in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11am in the Clinch Valley Cemetery. Ministers: Rev. Jerry Epperson and Rev. Tommy Russell. Singers: Clinch Valley Singers. Pallbearers: Cole Milligan, Cody Milligan, Hissac Milligan, Jessie Milligan, Christopher Milligan, Brandon Dunn, and Richard Milligan.
