Morris S. Anderson, age 93, of Sneedville, Tennessee was born November 5, 1929 and went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2023.

He was a member of Sneedville First Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the co-owner of Cash’N Tote department store for almost 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Edna Anderson; brothers, Carl (Clara) and Arnold (Christine); sisters, Lois (Bruce) Mills, Grace (Jack) Davis and son-in-law, Greg Torbett.

He is survived by; His wife of 70 years; Maxine Turner Anderson Daughter; Robin Torbett Son; David Anderson Grandson; Rhett Torbett Several nieces Many special friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Hancock Home Health, Davita Dialysis, Sneedville Medical Center, Hancock EMS and the late Dr. John Short for their care and compassion.

Mr. Anderson will lie in state for public viewing from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the McNeil Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the Seal Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Hommel and Rev.
