Surrounded by loved ones, Betty Jo Harris, age 92 of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

She was a member of Lakemoore Church of God of Prophecy. Betty Jo worked in sales at Parks Belk, but will perhaps be most remembered for the decades she spent as a server at Angelo’s and The Little Dutch.

She loved her job, and truly enjoyed taking care of others. She also loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest & Bonnie Kate Knight; her husband, Cline Harris; and her daughter, Robin Jones.

She is survived her loving son and daughter-in-law, George & Margaret Harris; sister, Rita Reneau; niece, Christy Williams, nephew, Scotty Thomas; numerous extended family and friends; and her beloved “grand-dog”, Luna, who she loved as a grandchild.

Friends may call at their convenience between the hours of noon and 7PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Mayes Mortuary. A funeral service will follow at 7PM with Rev. Robert Carpenter officiating. Burial will take place at 11AM Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
