Howard L. Smith, age 91 of White Pine, won his battle with cancer on Friday, March 10, 2023 at his home.

He was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church; also, he was a member of The Bib Boys, and Builders for Christ. Howard was proud of his service to his country; he served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors, Cleveland Plant.

Howard was preceded in death by his wife Grace, daughter, Debbie, parents, Roosevelt and Myrtle Smith, brothers, Donald, J.C., Homer, Harold and Clyde Smith, sisters, Daisy Broyles and Mattie Reed. He is Survived by his brother, Jim Smith, special nieces, Karen (Darrell) Yates and Sandy (Ted) Everhart, special friends, Deb and Lou, Wanda Musser, Sally Gaylor and the Cagle Family.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine, with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., prior to the service.

Military Graveside Interment will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at White Pine Cemetery with VFW Post 5266 and Rev. Brandon Cate officiating.
