Evelyn Lenore Miller Hayes, age 81, of Morristown, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

She was saved and attended Point Pleasant Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Miller Reynolds (Kenneth); father, Carl Miller; son, Joey Rondal Hayes; grandson, Jeremiah Hayes; sisters, Christine (Bob) Overbay and Doris Dumers; brother, Gerald Miller; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Hayes.

She is survived by her caregiver, friend, and ex-husband, Guy Hayes; son, Darrell “D.G.” Hayes; grandchildren, Jason, Tyler, Jeremiah, Angel and her fiancé, Stoney Mullins, and Lexie; great-grandchildren, Britlay, Arya, Dakota, Nila, and Kendra; brother-in-law, Gary Dumers; and sister-in-law, Ida Miller. Special thanks to the staff of Life Care of Morristown for their care.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. Thursday, February 23rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Kitts officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
