Billy “Pappy” Williams
Billy “Pappy” Williams, age 79, of Morristown, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.
He is now at peace with his Lord and Savior. Pappy talked many times about living “overhome”, and now his Heavenly Father has taken him home. He had grown tired of living down here with all the heartaches and trouble in life. He would witness to his family whenever they came around. We know where Pappy is going, and I know he is Heaven Bound.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer (Leola) Williams; mother, Eva Williams; brothers, Carroll and John Williams; and sister, Ruby Case.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Williams; son, Terry Williams; step daughters, Brenda Hart and Denise Painter; step grandchildren, Curtis (Samantha) Painter and Sarah (Cody Stepp) Painter; step-great grandchildren, Julie and Luke Lipe; brothers, George Williams and Joe Williams; sisters, Dorothy Martin, Rita Williams, and Betty Crum; special friend, Paul Lawson; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.’
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m., with Rev. Tom Wells and Rev. Louie Spradling officiating. Interment will follow in Roe Junction Baptist Church Cemetery.
