Roy Edgar Courtney, age 81, of Morristown, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 at Serenity Hospice House. He was a member of Choptack Baptist Church since 1954.

He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nelle “Nadine” Courtney; brothers, V.R. (Mildred) Courtney, Buford Courtney, and Dewey (Mary) Courtney; and sisters, Mildred “Pat” (Jimmy) Warner and Cleo (Bob) Dixon.

He is survived by his daughters, Melodie Courtney, Crystal Courtney (Bob Carter), and Regina (Chris) Jolly; grandchildren, Taylor Courtney and Krista Jolly; great-granddaughter, Nadiline Courtney; sister-in-law, Maye Courtney; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and close friends may pay their respects to the family at the home of Chris and Regina Jolly on Sunday, January 29th between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at Choptack Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Serenity Hospice House.
