A fire at a garage on Old Witt Road Friday afternoon resulted in $120,000 worth of damages, but there were no injuries.

According to information provided by the Morristown Fire Department, the call to 735 Old Witt Road came in at 12:35 p.m. with units arriving within three minutes. There were 15 firefighters, four engines, a platform truck and a battalion chief responding to the scene.

The fire was controlled in eight minutes after arrival. The MFD was on scene for two hours.

A wood stove caused the fire and the garage was 15% involved with heavy smoke and fire when firefighters arrived. There was $40,000 in damages to the garage and $80,000 in damages to the contents.

The fire is still under investigation.
