Wilma Lou Edith Cline Earl Wilhite, left this life on January 3rd, 2023, in Cleveland, Tennessee, surrounded by her devoted family — her son Michael, daughter-in-law Donna, and granddaughter Hannah Earl.

Born June 29, 1929, she was the first child of George and Mossie Cline. She married James Alva Earl before he deployed to Germany in the Korean War.

Wilma and Alva built a home and multiple businesses in East Tennessee, raising their only son Michael until Alva’s early death in 1974. She established a management and sales career spanning several decades, with long tenures at Stanley Home Products and Merita.

She later married Ralph Boyd Wilhite of Los Angeles, California, who also served in the Korean War. Wilma and Ralph enjoyed antiquing, exploring historical sites, and doting on their only grandchild, Hannah.

Wilma was an avid domestic and international traveler, with Spain as her favorite destination. She leaves a legacy of unfailing generosity and love toward her family, including cherished brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She will be dearly missed as we strive to emulate her earthly example.

A graveside memorial service is scheduled for noon on Saturday, January 7th, at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition.
