Gene Isom was born May 3rd, 1931, in Morristown, Tennessee, to the late Elmer and Vernie Isom. He was the eldest son of eight children and is preceded in death by six of his siblings: Rufus, Wayne, Claudell, Anna Mae, Mary, and Susie, all of Morristown TN.

Gene attended high school at Morristown college in Morristown TN, and at the age of 18 Gene moved to Cleveland OH along with his cousin and best friend the late Gordon Isom. After settling in Cleveland Gene met and married his wife of 48 years, the late Pauline Ramseur and to this union were Leonard ,Anthony, Jeannine, Johanna, and son Elmer who precedes him in death.

Gene had a lengthy career in the trucking and steel industry and was well-liked and respected colleague until the Lord called him home on December 26,2022.

Left to continue his legacy are his two children Anthony and Jeannine Isom of Cleveland OH, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. loving brother William Isom Sr (Pat), And a host of nieces, nephews, and family members.

Services will be held Jan. 7, 2023.
