David Dean Shockley, age 86, of Talbott, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He served eight years in the National Guard and was a loving and devoted husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lon and Aurilla Shockley; brother, Edward Shockley; and sisters, Helen Spoon and Deloris Smith.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Mable Shockley; sons, Greg Shockley of Knoxville and Barry Shockley of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers, Bill Shockley of Knoxville and Frank Shockley of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 2nd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Tim Jones officiating.

Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 3rd at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services.
