Happy Mothers’ Day, Trojan Nation!

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms or mother figures!
Seniors are in their final week with exams being on Friday, May 15. Also, on this day the seniors will celebrate their last sunset together at the track from 7:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m.
There will be free food and treats, inflatables, games, and an outdoor movie after the sun goes down.
This is for West High Seniors only. Bring your Student ID for check-in and a blanket or chair for movie time. Spend your last Friday night together as Trojans before graduation.
In other senior news, Monday, May 18, seniors will visit their former elementary and middle schools.
Buses leave at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 18 visiting Lincoln Heights Elementary, Lincoln Middle, Witt, West View, Alpha, Manley, and West Elementary. Seniors must have already turned in a permission slip. Tuesday, May 19 will be scholarship recognition day in the auditorium at West High. Friday, May 22 at 4 p.m. will be senior graduation followed by the Milestone event at College Square Mall.
In sports news, the State Pentathlon/ Decathlon in Murfreesboro for Track & Field is taking place on Wednesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 14 at 9 a.m. Boys basketball tryouts will be held Tuesday and Wednesday May 26 and 27 from 1 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Those trying out must have an updated physical.
The academic calendar is also very active, beginning with the AP Calculus Exam on Monday, May 11, the AP Psychology Exam on Tuesday, May 12 and the AP Language Exam on Wednesday, May 13. The week continues on Thursday, May 14 with the AP Computer Science Exam and dual enrollment registration, concluding with the AP Environmental Science Exam, senior exams, and the senior sunset on Friday, May 15.
It’s going to be a whirlwind of a week, Trojans, but we know you’re ready to tackle every challenge head-on. We are so proud of everything this senior class has accomplished, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you at the senior sunset this Friday.
