A group of American journalists from Boston, USA, headed by writer Robert Perkins, set up their equipment near the Gorely volcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula on August 1, 1990. The group’ s six week expedition includes shooting a film and writing reports about the region and its part of a Siberia-Alaska project of the Soviet Social Initiatives Fund. AP
