Tusculum University to help people in business better run their operations by teaching them how to use AI Tools

GREENEVILLE – Entrepreneurs and other business professionals who seek practical ways to apply artificial intelligence to their work will benefit from an upcoming boot camp Tusculum University’s Business Division is holding.

The AI Boot Camp will be held Tuesday, July 28, from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in Room 111 of the Meen Center on campus. For just $49, participants will come away with multiple AI skills they can use to make their business or project run more efficiently and effectively. The event will be fun and personal, with attendees engaging in hands-on learning instead of listening to lectures.

“AI presents multiple ways to economize a person’s time and achieve excellent results in the business world,” said David Hite, associate professor of business at the university, who is leading the boot camp. “Tusculum has consulted with many experts in the field and been on the cutting edge of educating people on the benefits of AI. This boot camp is another way we will assist the business community as part of the university’s commitment to civic engagement.”

The boot camp, which will operate in a workshop style, is geared toward entrepreneurs, small business owners, nonprofit leaders and other professionals. Registrants will learn how to use AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, NotebookLM and Loveable AI. These tools will empower users to save time, increase productivity, streamline operations and make better business decisions.

People do not need coding experience to participate in the boot camp.

Among the abilities attendees will develop in this highly informative workshop are to: Write powerful prompts that generate useful business results Create social media content, emails, blogs and video scripts in minutes Use AI as a strategic thinking partner to solve business challenges Generate proposals, strategic operating procedures, job descriptions and other business documents Research competitors, markets and industry trends

At the event’s conclusion, some of the items participants will take back to use will be an AI prompt guide, competitor research tools, business writing templates, website development resources, marketing templates and a 30-day AI action plan.

This event will come four months after the business program hosted the well-attended and deeply educational Appalachian AI Summit, which attracted educators, business owners, representatives of nonprofits and those connected to workforce development. Tusculum has also been leaders in incorporating AI into curriculum.

“We welcome this opportunity to share valuable information about AI with those in business who want to take their ideas and companies to the next level,” said Dr. John Alpers, dean of the School of Business, Education and Sport. “David Hite has successfully embraced AI and is helping people understand how they can enhance their business operations by using these tools. His expertise will help participants discover how they can strengthen their business with ethical and sound AI practices.”
