Winter weather expected to follow heavy storms

The National Weather Service says there is a chance for light snowfall following a line of strong to severe storms Thursday afternoon.
The storms arrive a head of a cold front. The Thursday high was expected to be 61 degrees while the high Friday is expected to be 40 degrees.
The storms will come with the possibility of strong, damaging wind.
Morristown and the majority of the Lakeway Area is expected to receive greater than a half inch of snow with the higher elevations of the Smokies – where a wind advisory is in effect – receiving 3 to 4 inches of snow.
A winter storm warning is in effect through early Saturday morning for the higher elevations as well.
The National Weather Service says Morristown has a 26% of having more than an inch of snow through 1 p.m. Saturday.
