Steve Wallace Cassell, age 63 of Morristown, passed away while peacefully sleeping on January 5, 2023.

Steve retired from the Hamblen County School System, where he worked 30-plus years. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Cassell, and brother in law, John Phillips.

He is survived by wife, JoAnna Cassell, daughter Misty (Ritchie) Stickley; granddaughters, Dakota Haggard, Cassidy Bullard, Marissa French, and Amya O’Rourke; great-grandsons, Major & Gunner Bullard; Parents, Una Mae & Joe Parrott; siblings, Ronnie (Karen) Cassell, Sharon Phillips, Pam (Fred) Stines, Teresa Adkins, Roger Cassell, Scott (Glennis) Cassell; extended family, Christi Gulley; many nephews, nieces, family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 5 p.m. at Alder funeral home. The family will hold a private burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
