Eva Mae (Kinser) Gaddis

Eva Mae (Kinser) Gaddis, age 90, of Parrottsville, passed away on Saturday, January 14th, 2023.

Eva was a member of First United Methodist Church in Newport. She taught school in Newport and Morristown for 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, the Gideons and Lady Vols Basketball.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Lula Mae Ottinger Kinser; husband, James H. “Jay” Gaddis; granddaughter, Kristen Hope Moore; brothers, J.R. Kinser, William E. Kinser, and Theodore “Ted” Kinser.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Tommy) Bible, Karen (Tom) Inman; grandchildren, Kari Ann Moore, Jill (Ricky) Jones, Cierra Inman, Kenzie (Mark) Riden, and McKinley Bible; 9 great-grandchildren, Slayd, Asher, Cora, Nova, Connor, Lucy, Cross, Crew, and Collins.

The family would like to especially thank Eva’s very special care givers, Brad Jones (great nephew) and Shawnee Driskill.

The family will be receiving friends 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Monday, January 16th, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Newport. Service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 17th, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Newport with burial to follow in Union Cemetery.
