A doublewide trailer fire on Old Witt Road Thursday night resulted in a total loss.

Units from the East Hamblen, North Hamblen, South Hamblen and West Hamblen volunteer fire departments were called to 701 Old Witt Road where the doublewide was involved.

According to South Hamblen VFD Chief Kevin Jarnigan, the call came in at 9 p.m. Thursday. Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

The doublewide is considered a total loss. There were no injuries. The American Red Cross is assisting the occupants of the mobile home with housing. The investigation is continuing. Morristown-Hamblen EMS also responded to the scene for medical assistance.
