According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, around 9:38 a.m., a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette, driven by Terry Dalton, was traveling north on Greenbriar Road, near Claudette Drive in Talbott. While going around a curve, Dalton lost control and traveled off the right side of the road. Dalton then traveled through a yard and struck a house, causing damage to the foundation and chimney with the front end.
Dalton was charged with failure to signal for turn, improper lane usage, reckless driving, failure to exercise due care and speeding.
He was taken to Hamblen County Jail where he was later released on a $1,500 bond.
The owner of the home indicated she has been asking authorities to take measure to reduce incidents of speeding on the road.
