Following a 46-point week, Tyasia Reed was named the NJCAA Player of the Week on Wednesday. It is the first time in program history that a Lady Senator has received the honor.

“It’s a huge honor for Tyasia to be named NJCAA Player of the Week,” Coleman said. “To have that be the first time in program history is huge. It couldn’t happen to a better person. She has worked super hard for us, and we are very proud of her.”

During the week, Tyasia Reed scored 14 points against Roane State. She followed it up against Jackson State, nearly completing a triple-double as she had 32 points, eight rebounds and seven steals.

Tyasia Reed is averaging 14 points and six rebounds per game on the season.
