Barbara Edna Mathis, 83, of Sneedville TN exchanged her earthly house for her Heavenly home on January 26th, 2023.

Barbara was the last living child of David and Ora Trent. She was a wonderful loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother whom everyone loved.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Jeff Mathis, Jr., her parents, her siblings, and her precious daughter-in-law, Brenda Greene, whom she loved like her own.

Barbara is survived by her children, David and Boyde (Tammy) Greene of Ohio, and Tami Watkins of Sneedville. Her grandchildren Joshua (Tanya) Greene, Gabriel Watkins, Shaun Watkins, and Jacob Watkins. She also leaves her great grandchildren whom she loved so dearly, Zoey Greene and Joey Watkins.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, January 31st at the McNeil Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Lamb and Rev. Kester Bunch officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 30th from 5-7pm at the McNeil Funeral home.

Special music will be provided by her grandson, Joshua Greene. Pallbearers will be her Sons and Grandsons. Honorary Pallbearer will be her great grandson Joey Watkins.

The family would like to thank all of the employees at The Glen, a senior living community, in Cincinnati, Ohio. They loved Barbara and treated her like family.
